THYROID DISORDER TREATMENT

The most common thyroid disorder is hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism happens when the thyroid gland doesn’t make enough thyroid hormone.

Hypothyroidism may not have noticeable symptoms in the beginning. You may notice some symptoms such as more fatigue, difficulty getting through your day, some weight gain, thinning hair, or constipation. As time goes on, hypothyroidism that isn’t treated can lead to other health problems such as high cholesterol and heart problems.

We will run labs to diagnose hypothyroidism. Treatment may be done with thyroid hormone medicine or proper supplementation. This is usually simple, safe, and effective once it is determined to be the right treatment plan for you.
