Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a clinical syndrome characterized by mild obesity, irregular menses or absence of periods, and signs of androgen excess, (such as facial hair/hirsutism and acne). The ovaries may contain multiple cysts, but this isn’t always evident.
Diagnosis can be made by symptoms, labs, ruling out pregnancy, hormone measurements, and imaging to exclude a virilizing tumor.

PELLET THERAPY
Pellets are tiny, custom-compounded hormones, usually testosterone and/or estradiol, that are inserted subcutaneously into the body in a quick, simple, in-office procedure. These pellets will gradually be absorbed, dispersing hormones throughout the body.
BHRT pellet therapy is used for symptoms that stem from hormonal imbalances. This type of therapy may help keep your hormone levels consistent throughout the day. The pellet therapy that we use are hormones that are bioidentical to those found in the human body.
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can come in oral, topical, and pellet forms. BHRT using pellets offers consistent administration and may help address rollercoaster-like effects.
Hormone replacement patients receive as few as two bioidentical hormone pellet insertions per year for men and 3 -4 per year for women. The hormone is available when their bodies need it, and it’s a simple procedure done right in the provider’s office.
Each hormone replacement therapy patient’s symptoms are unique; so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization. Most hormone therapy patients report some relief in as little as four weeks or sooner, but full optimization may take up to six months or more. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy journey is customized to fit each person’s specific needs.
