LAB TESTING

Do you want to know what your labs mean?  Do you want better than just being told your labs are “normal”?  Wouldn’t it be helpful to find out what is optimal for you?

The Functional Health Report (FHR): what it is — and why it matters

The Functional Health Report (FHR) is a comprehensive, root-cause lab assessment designed to give you a clear, actionable understanding of your health — not just whether your labs are “normal,” but whether they are optimal.

This report evaluates over 65 biomarkers to assess key areas of health, including:

  • Insulin resistance and metabolic health
  • Thyroid function
  • Hormonal balance (testosterone, estradiol, progesterone, DHEA)
  • Cardiovascular and inflammatory markers (heart, joints, kidneys, liver)
  • Diabetes risk
  • Complete metabolic and blood counts (CMP, CBC)
  • Lipid panel
  • Nutrient status (magnesium, vitamin B12, iron panel, vitamin D)

What’s included — all for $450

  • Lab draw and comprehensive lab testing

  • 45–60 minute in-depth follow-up appointment

  • Your personalized Functional Health Report

  • A take-home copy of your lab results

  • shared, individualized treatment plan tailored to your goals

Unlike traditional lab reviews that stop at “everything looks normal,” the FHR goes deeper. You’ll gain a clear understanding of what your numbers mean, where there’s room for improvement, and how to optimize your health using evidence-based, personalized strategies.

This is ideal if you want clarity, direction, and a proactive approach to your health — not guesswork.

Important: Rocco’s Remedy only prescribes lab test panels after a consultation is booked with one of our medical providers. We partner with the leading functional and diagnostic lab testing company in the country on cash-based, discounted lab panels. Rocco’s Remedy is not a lab company.

Important notice about lab billing and insurance

At Rocco’s Remedy, we want to be fully transparent regarding lab costs and insurance coverage.

  • We are not contracted with any insurance companies. This means we do not receive communication from them about your lab bills. We can only provide documentation from what is directly available in your chart (labs, vitals, notes, etc.).

  • Every insurance plan is different, and unfortunately, it is not possible for us to know what each company requires or covers. Many patients have reported receiving vague or confusing information from their insurance regarding lab coverage.

  • Lab expenses are always the patient’s responsibility. We encourage you to check with your insurance carrier to understand your coverage.

  • If you are concerned about coverage or surprise billing, we offer cash-pay lab options at significantly reduced rates. For many patients, these prices are only in the hundreds of dollars compared to the thousands some have been billed through insurance.

We always want to make your care as transparent and cost-efficient as possible. Please take a moment to view our cash lab pricing so you can make the best decision for your situation.

We will always do what we can to support you, but please understand that lab billing is ultimately outside of our control.
